You tell me…
I was a little nervous about my tie at my presentation on Friday. The meeting was in South Carolina…and it was my furthest meeting so far.
Of course Jill wasn’t there to cheer me on ( another FIRST for me) and I was unsure what to do about my tie. Please don’t forward this to anybody. I don’t want them to think of me as a wimp for not putting on my tie.
After my last blog, I decided to start the speech with me putting on my tie. I got up, and proceeded to putting on my tie. When you are doing it…and not succeeding…. it seems to last a long time. After what I thought was a long time…I gave up.
So what did I do?
I tried….but didn’t succeed. Kind of the way live works. I have to keep trying…over and over again…until I finally succeed. You may not succeed the first time, the second time…or the 400th time…but you keep on trying.
The good news: I got a standing ovation. Was it because of the tie thing? I don’t know. But what I do know: I am going to try putting on my tie. It draws people in.
